The Frederick Chen’s Autumn Winter 19/20 men’s collection was inspired by what he has always like to do and in love with, which he believe makes men and this world more beautiful and interesting. He has done the deep research about the following inspiration, he tried to find everything he truly love and put the elements together, expecting to bring this world the new visual feast no one has ever seen. Most of the his greatest ideas are not created while the research but during the development of the outfit. His main inspiration which helps me to focus on the target he is reaching thogh, such as Time Piece Elements, Equestrian, Versailles Palace and garden, Calligraphic, Luxury interior, Chesterfield. The twenty outfits and all of the inspirations are based on one condition “Contemporary Silhouette”

    For the most iconic pieces of this collection, the main character he always picture to be in his outfit when he design is Louis IV. The man’s fashion icon he always look up to, the feeling he gives and the Versailles Palace he lived in taken the significant place of this collection. Time piece elements-the excellent work from the best watchmaker around the world, those details of the time piece light up the outfit turn the men’s tailoring in to artwork pieces. Most of the piece he found the vestige clock, open it and take the part which he think could be useful finally sew it on the outfit. Dark red Chesterfield have become the icon of this collection. The idea of using Chesterfield as his inspiration is because it has been place in one of the room in Versailles Palace. Calligraphic is the way he always use in the day to day life, it become part of him part of his personality.

    In this collection non of the bottom has been used, he believe the contemporary fashion should be clean, and could to wear in moteable occactions. In order to make people focus on the main element he want to show, he decide to eliminate the unnessary part of the garment, such as bottom.
